Shopping Tour

The Easter Bunny has been hiding rather special concrete eggs this year – the foundations of our first rehearsal and #liveroom!

Slow and steady – but heavily loaded – wins the race!
Starting on 12th of April we eradicated the rest of the gipsum board trash in the great hall early (7am) and shipped everything to the city landfill before 9am. We rented the largest possible trailer to fit into our driveway and with the help of Daniel – our dedicated driver – we (even legally) pushed our load limit by almost a ton, doubling the car’s capacity.

This way we went a couple of times and picked up all the material for the first shell of our first rehearsal room. It was a lot of work and took us quite some time, also and foremost due to the difficult traffic situation in the city.

We have been very lucky because Sabine and Horst who own the restaurant s’Schmankerl have provided us with free lunch! Needless to say it was incredibly tasty (which is why there is no image of the main course :D) and a terrific meal. A little impression for you, just to make you the tiniest bit envious though:

Desert
Ensalada Fruta with mint yoghurt and caramelized oranges. And that was just the desert – impressive!

We hauled a couple more loads in the afternoon and had almost two palettes (= 3t) of cement and concrete blocks by the end of the day. When shops closed we used some more time to unmount the old air pipe for the use of a sand sledge for the next day:

In the end what four people accomplished over a whole day did look a little humble…
