Sampling the building substance…

A couple of days after our initial visit we put the building to the acid test! Checking for … mold and funghi and holes or so. Our collection of samples of the construction fabric is definitely growing with every day.

We needed to know whether the overall condition of the building would ultimately allow us to develop the basement into a recording studio with very particular needs for a controllable environment.

The long hall has very interesting interior furnishing

Moisture, sound emission from the street and generally the building’s very substance looked quite ok though, eventhough we knew there was going to be a LOT of hard work to be done yet.

The ceiling is covered in … we don’t really know yet.
We took the glass panels off the wall to get a grasp of the construction

We decided to take some more time and dig a little deeper while we sorted out things with the landlady until the end of the year.

Luckily beneath the rotten interior there was good-looking white wall.
